How it all Started

Bunting by Jen was started after I was asked to make bunting for my sister's wedding in August 2014. There were lots of lovely comments about it on the big day but after I realised I had 150 metres of bunting and I needed to do something with it.

After speaking to people about this I realising there was an interest in bunting hire for events as it's not something that people tend to want to keep after, especially in the volumes needed to decorate a marquee. Looking at what was available and finding that there wasn't really anything available near me I chose to set up my own company and so Bunting by Jen was started.

How things have changed

When the pandemic happened, and weddings were postponed my business needed to change, and so I started selling other fabric items online as well as at local craft markets  and starting to make memory bears after a friend approached me to make some for her. It was adapting to these new ways that helped keep Bunting By Jen going during these difficult times. I was lucky enough to join some amazing online markets, and find a community of both online and local small business friends.

Where are we now

In 2022 I made the brave and scary decision to work on the business full time and left my job in property management. I have loved every minute of the experience and look forward to bring to life the new plans I have. 

In early 2024 I moved in to my amazing new Hully Pod garden office which gave me the space to grow the business and working on new ideas and product designs.
